Financial Controller

Responsible for managing all financial matters for the company. The role will involve overseeing a small team of accountants and the usual FC duties. However, as you will be a qualified accountant with at least 10 years’ experience, what is more important is your personality and strong interpersonal skills. Reporting into the CFO, you will be responsible for all financial matters related to the Singapore and Dubai office. Key areas and responsibilities will include all financial reporting (internal and external), local regulatory reporting, oversight of the purchase ledger function and controls, forecasting and budgeting, monthly ledger close, cash management and ensuring there is enough cash available for acquisitions and the firms PE activities. Responsibilities: You will develop the accounting team into a high performing value add team of individuals. This will involve providing leadership, resource planning and management of the team You will also be responsible for all statutory financial statements for annual accounts and periodic regulatory returns Monthly review, sign off and ownership of the statutory balance sheet and P&L Responsibility for the month end close process in Dubai and Singapore, the efficiency and improvement thereof and adhering to the agreed group timeframe Produce, review and distribute monthly management accounts for Dubai and Singapore and other finance driven board papers and MI as required Review, preparation and implementation of month end reviews. Ensure Financial Control risks are being identified, investigated, managed and reported within established guidelines Essential Requirements: Qualified accountant 10 years PQE Big 4 background Industry experience from Banking or Asset / Fund Management firms Personality – High Energy – Fantastic communication skills – Can do Attitude - Confidence
