Business Function

Job Purpose

Assist in the development of the ECL systems and thereafter provide ongoing support to production process for ECL

Accountabilities

  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development of the ECL engine and systems
  • Perform and coordinate user testing during system development and implementation phase
  • Ensure BaU production process for monthly ECL computation is able to complete within the stated timeline

Responsibilities

  • Assist project manager in monitoring the progress of the development & build of the systems for ECL production
  • Act as a bridge between users, stakeholders and middle-office- technology (MOT) development team
  • Define, develop and write user requirements based
  • Perform user data profiling where required
  • Perform & coordinate user testing & sign-offs by users
  • Provide system support in the monthly ECL production
  • Investigating, trouble shoot and work together with stakeholders to resolve system development and production issues
  • Sourcing & patching of data where required
  • Maintain & update engine/system parameters
  • Manage ongoing change requests following deployment of systems
  • Assess, evaluate and investigate possible solutions for downstream posting and reporting requirements
  • Assist the ECL operational and reporting team for ad-hoc data analysis/ reports or in the monthly production process when necessary

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Ability to write SQLs
  • Strong knowledge of Access database
  • Strong knowledge of SAS preferred but not required
  • Understanding of Hive and Hadoop environments preferred
  • Understanding of IFRS 9 Phase 2 ECL requirements preferred
  • Ability to work closely with Technology and Finance stakeholders
