RESPONSIBILITIES:
Risk Management:
- Set up and maintain the ORM Framework and ensure it is in alignment with the business standards.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and for effective implementation of the ORM framework.
- Maintain Operational Risk Reporting calendar. Ensure accurate and on-time periodic reporting to the management.
- Prepare quarterly risk report to Audit and Risk Committee (ARC).
- Ensure the yearly business standards attestation and obtain CEO and CRO certifications are completed within the stipulated timeline.
- Involved in the setting up of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) framework. Assume the role of BCP coordinator.
- Maintenance of Outsourcing framework and Outsourcing Register.
- Assist HOD to develop and maintain the 3 Lines of Defence model.
- Conduct necessary training and coaching to line departments on the concept of “Department Risk & Compliance Coordinator” (DRCC).
- Maintain and update compliance matrix. Align compliance matrix to each business / functional department.
- Ensure Regulatory Obligation Mapping on regulatory requirements that may have an impact to the Company is in place.
- Maintenance of FDO framework.
- Ensure any determined gaps are escalated to management and closed on a timely basis.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Lead the regulatory compliance team in timely and accurate vetting of marketing materialsfrom a regulatory perspective with reference to relevant regulatory requirements or guidelines.
- Issue approval code for approved materials.
- Assist to vet agreements from a regulatory perspective.
- Maintain the PDPA Framework and ensures alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure staff and representatives are fully competent and educated in their data-related activities and have an understanding of the data governance framework, the policies and processes through training modules and/or training materials.
- Maintain the AML/CFT Framework and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements as prescribed by MAS.
- Ensure Company's Customer Due Diligences measures with regards to customer identification / verification have been complied with.
- Observe the conduct of the customer's account and ensure that the transactions are consistent with knowledge of the client's business and risk profile.
- Ensure staff and representatives are fully competent and educated in their daily activities and have an understanding of the AML/CFT framework, the policies and processes through training modules and/or training materials
- Lead the regulatory compliance team in reviewing and disseminating all new/ changes in regulations to Senior Management Team.
- Assist Head of Compliance in providing advisory on impact of regulatory changes to business and/or market.
- Collate and consolidate necessary responses from the Business Units for Consultation papers, and forward to Chief Executive Officer for approval prior to submission to the Authority
- Conduct Compliance Review, excluding Market Conduct review on an adhoc basis.
- Act as the MAS Alternate Liaison Officer handling relevant MAS queries and reporting matters
- Ensure timely reporting to the Authorities, including but not limited to, MAS Questionnaire on Financial Advisory Service or any other reports.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree is required
- At least 3-4 years of working experience in risk, compliance or governance related positions
- Knowledge of MAS regulations, FAA, LIA etc.
- Familiarity with sales advisory process will be an added advantage
- Basic knowledge of risk management principles is essential
