We are now recruiting for an Assistant Manager, Business Planning and Analytics, Retail Assets. You will be directly reporting to the AVP, Business Planning and Analytics, Retail Assets and Cards


Organization Unit Purpose
The Retail Assets and Cards business is the leading growth engine of the banking business Combined Retail Assets and Cards business contribute to 36% of the total UAE Retail Banking Revenue


It is thus important to drive the Retail Assets and Cards business both from a book growth and profitability perspective. There is a strong competition in the traditional Cards/Retail Assets product space. It is therefore critical for the bank to explore new revenue opportunities to stay abreast of the competition and maintain our strong position.


Business Planning and Analytics unit within Cards and Retail Assets Business performs the following activities:
• Financial Reporting, Planning and Forecasting for Cards and all the Retail Asset Products
• Managing the Business P&L and ensuring the P&L budgets across Revenue and Direct cost lines are met through
o Identification/control over Risk and opportunities over the budgets/Forecast
o Identification and implementation of initiatives to cover any P&L gaps
• Ensure no revenue leakages
• Expense Management-Full control over Direct cost and eliminate any redundant cost
• Provide MIS support for various Financial/Customer MIS for Cards and Assets business
• Providing fulfillment support on various Credit Cards and asset campaigns
• Providing actionable recommendations to grow bottom line through customer behavior insights on Cards and Retails Assets
• Lead all the Cards and Asset Audits-Internal, Association etc.
• Accrual Management
• Internally interfacing with Retail Asset product heads, Finance, Risk, CLM, Legal, Compliance and Audit
• Externally interfacing with Network International, Associations, Tanfeeth, external Analytics vendors


Job purpose


This job is the key to ensure that Retail Assets Business meet its financial goals and sufficient financial controls are maintained to ensure correct financial reporting of Retails Assets P&L



Specifically, the job holder will support the following:
• Ensure that the Business financial goal are met through regular forecasting/tracking of gaps to budget and finding opportunities to plug these gaps.
• Tracking the income and Expense Lines on a daily/monthly basis and lead variance analysis
• Identify and plug revenue leakages
• Analyze Various routine billing on monthly basis-Valuator payments, Auto Dealer commissions Insurance payments 3rd party acquisition payments.
• Manage all the reporting requirements on Retail Assets-internally externally
• Support business with Strategic MIS
• Establish a robust process for invoice accruals and tracking
• Manage fulfillment on customer campaign
• Manage fulfillment through CLM on sales contest
• Ensure robust budgeting process
• Ensure control on various cost
• Support Product team in Audits
• Provide Financial analytics support on Pricing decisioning


Job Content


Main Task
• Manage timely and accurate reporting of Financial results
• Monthly tracking of variances to Budget
• Monthly forecasting of the P&L for the rest of the year
• Managing risk and opportunities to the Business actively
• Work with Business to identify revenue opportunities to plug the gaps to the budget
• Tracking Trial Balance on a daily basis and checking for debits in income accounts
• Establish Revenue proofing on all the income lines on a monthly basis
• Keep a tight control on any budgetary gaps on Expenses
• Identify and Execute initiatives in the Retail Assets business to Save Cost.
• Put tight process on all the accruals
• Provide BAU support to the Product, Portfolio and operations team for offer fulfillment, resolving operational issues through data
• Provide business analysis for various business issues
• Manage Dealers Commission payout to dealers as per agreed terms and timelines and maintain recon of dealers commission account
• Automate various MIS
• Provide commentary on trends/numbers presented in the strategic MIS



Performance Measures
• Managing Business performance to ensure the Financial goals of the business are met
• Finding opportunities to plug any forecasted gaps in the P&L
• Ensure that there is no revenue leakage in the P&L
• Ensure that Retail Assets Business meet the Expense Budget target
• Manage the monthly accrual process
• Meet TAT on supporting business
• Provide business with quality analysis
