The Company: I am currently working on behalf of a market leading, Sheffield based advisory firm who are a progressive, forward thinking business and are keen to attract an IFA Administrator on an initial 12-month Fixed Term Contract, starting asap, with the opportunity to go permanent. The firm themselves are backed by a larger, cash-rich group who are one of the UK longest standing providers of financial advice; and are progressing nicely through a period of expansion at present as client needs and AUM grows. The Role: The remit here is a very broad private wealth focused administration support role which is modelled in a team environment supporting multiple high performing financial advisers. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • To provide professional and efficient administrative support to the Consultants and their client base.
  • Ensure client data is processed correctly and records are maintained in line with relevant legislation, regulatory and Company requirements.
  • Communicate and liaise with insurance companies and other third parties in an assertive manner to manage completion of new business processing.
  • Take responsibility for personal development to maintain and develop technical knowledge required in the performance of the role.
  • Processing new business and issuing policy documents/contract notes utilising the Adviser Office system
  • Dealing with changes to policies, funds and client personal details
  • Updating and producing periodic valuations and portfolio reviews.
  • Maintenance of Adviser Office diary and INVU document management system

The Person: The successful candidate will ideally come from an IFA/wealth management background and have some exposure to supporting IFA’s/financial advisers in a technical admin capacity. You will have knowledge across investments, pensions and protection/life cover with any tax or trust exposure a significant bonus. This role would suit an admin individual with 1+ years industry experience looking to develop in a highly regarded, market leading advisory business - And if you have ambitions to develop down the paraplanning route medium term this particular opportunity not only offers this, but the employer encourages it via study support and experience/exposure to their technical teams and work.
