Owner-led SME circa £12m turnover have an immediate requirement for a commercially-focused management accountant. You will support the FD in providing proactive financial reporting and management accounts to allow the business to continue to flourish. You will be responsible for a range of projects aimed at improving systems, processes and relevance of the financial reporting.

You will enjoy gaining a vital commercial understanding of the business, working with colleagues across all areas (operational and commercial). You will also gain exposure to external stakeholders including banks, auditors, suppliers and key customers.

You need to be comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy and you must also have an ability to coach and mentor a small team.

Your role:

• Budgeting processes - variance reporting and commentary
• Cost accounting - working closely with colleagues in production areas to truly understand and track costs.
• Commercial reporting - margin, profit streams, promotional success, market insight and customer trends.
• Management accounting.
• Year end financial reporting.

You will ideally be a recently qualified (CIMA or equivalent) management accountant looking for a role in a fast paced SME. Your career will develop quickly and it is aimed that you will become FC over the next 1 - 2 years.
