Client Details

The client is a national retail and wholesale company who are in a period of rapid sustained growth. This role is for their large open plan head office in Bedford. The office is supported by a strong team of experienced finance professionals, where the successful Trainee Assistant Accountant will be completing finance administration tasks while gaining exposure to other aspects of accounting.

Description

Key responsibilities of the successful Trainee Assistant Accountant include the below, for which full training will be provided for the right candidate:

• Inputting of sales & purchase orders
• Producing invoices
• Assisting cash flow forecasting
• Bank reconciliations
• Data entry
• Treasury responsibilities
• Banking
• Finance administration
• Ad-hoc office administration tasks

Profile

The successful Trainee Assistant Accountant will be:

• Looking to begin a career in accounts and finance
• Eager to learn with a track record of doing so
• An excellent team player
• Some accounts-related experience would be beneficial but not essential
• Numerate with an eye for detail
• Competent using Excel
• Outstanding communication skills
• Approachable with a positive outlook
• Ideally started a recognised Accounting qualification if no practical experience
