Credit controller

Experienced Credit controller for Waltham Cross based Company

Well established distribution group based near Cheshunt in Hertfordshire urgently requires and experienced credit controller to work as part of a busy and lively team. Reporting to the credit manager your role will essentially be to collect outstanding debts from a variety of clients both large and small in a professional and effective manner .
Duties will include :

• Managing your own portfolio and ensuring timely collection according contractual agreements and weekly cash targets are met.
• Liaising with appropriate debt agencies
• Closely monitoring customer debt profiles and escalating collection tasks where appropriate
• Working closely with other finance teams to ensure smooth billing and payment process is achieved and productive calls are made

Key skills:

• Excellent communication skills including Maths and English GCSE
• At least 3 years collections experience in a busy target driven environment
• Versatile and adaptable with good negotiation skills and the ability to deal with people effectively at all levels
• Self motivated with good problem solving skills and ability to work to deadlines
• Good IT skills with Excel knowledge ( intermediate level) an advantage
