As an Accounts Senior, you will be expected to report to Partners where the job role will comprise of working in the liaison with the Accounts Team. The position will involve in delivering the first-class service in the preparation of clients Statutory Accounts & Taxes with personal and corporation returns. You will need to supervise the Accounts Trainees in liaison with the Partner and review their works accordingly.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Accounts Senior will be expected to ensuring full confidentiality, transparency and exceeding expectations whenever possible for the clients and work in all the aspects of Accounting but the job description is not limited to Taxation, VAT, Payroll & Accounts Preparation.
- Supervise Junior Accounts Team in the maintenance of client’s portfolio and database
- Preparation of Statutory Accounts for clients which could be for limited companies, partnerships & sole trader accounts
- Liaising with the clients verbally and in writing i.e. emails and letters
- Preparation of management accounts
- Supervise and approve the bookkeeping completed by Junior Accounts Team
- Computation of personal and corporation returns
- Responding to client queries and ensuring full confidentiality, transparency and exceeding expectations whenever possible for the clients
- Assisting Senior Accounts Managers with their portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Working as part of a team
- Maintaining and developing client relationships, both written communication and conducting face-to-face meetings
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Requirement
- Qualified ACA / ACCA + experience in practice environment
- Strong academic background with knowledge in Statutory Accounts & Tax preparation
- Desirable: Experience in Accountancy Software: QuickBooks, Xero, Free Agent, VT Transaction & MS Office
- Strong interpersonal skills with a keen eye on detail and ability to work under pressure
- Right to live and work in the UK
- Reliable with an organized approach to work and able to meet deadlines
- Effective time management skills
- Can demonstrate leadership qualities with problem-solving skills and a team player
