Finance Director

The Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance within this growing SME. They will take a lead on all financial strategic planning alongside the fellow Directors and help drive the business forward.

My client is a growing retail business based around Bicester. They are currently in a period of change and need an individual to help drive the business forward.

Description

The key responsibilities for the Finance Director will be:

• Strategic financial planning
• Annual budgeting and forecasting
• Manage a team of 6+ individuals
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparation and review of P&L balances
• Quarterly variance analysis
• VAT and GAAP responsibility
• Commercial analysis of the retail business units

Profile

The successful candidate for the Finance Director role will be:

• Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Able to demonstrate previous experience of SME growth management
• Good team player with a proven track record of developing a team and contributing to a positive working atmosphere
• Comfortable with board reporting and presentations
• Strong Excel and IT skills
• A good communicator
• A resilient nature
• Previous Retail sector experience is desirable but not essential
