Corporate Tax Senior Manager with an OMB focus.

Description

The role is varied in nature in its responsibilities. You will:

Undertake complex compliance work and oversee compliance work dealt with by more junior members of the department
Supervise the existing Corporate Tax Manager and Tax Senior and any tax trainees that may be seconded or recruited to the department
Be required to provide technical advice to the audit department and provide technical back up to the Corporate Tax Partners
Be required to assist in Corporate transactions (purchases/sales) i.e. clearances, due diligence, review of Sale & Purchase Agreements/Tax Deeds
Have the opportunity to assist in the production of tax brochures and prepare technical memos for partners/staff as appropriate
Assist the Corporate Tax Partners with advisory and consulting projects as required

Profile

The Corporate Tax Department advises clients across the practice and the work undertaken is broad, often including matters such as:

Bespoke tax planning and consulting
Complex compliance
M&A - due diligence, structuring, refinancing
Exit planning and succession planning
Share schemes
EIS and SEIS
Inward investment
International structuring
HMRC enquiries and investigations

Job Offer

The Manager position requires a strong, experienced tax professional. The expectations are that the successful individual will be an experienced manager looking for a new challenge.

Commercially minded with a proven track record of dealing with entrepreneurial clients, you will be personable with ability to deal with a broad range of tax issues and to devise creative solutions that work on both a tax and commercial level will be essential.

This role will primarily involve high level, complex tax compliance but also dealing with the advisory aspects of dealing with such clients. You will also be expected to assist the tax partners with other consulting and advisory projects. There will be plenty of opportunities to work with partners across the practice.
