This corporate is a clear leader within property registry and land title information services with an enterprise value of over $2.5bn. This business has a high growth profile given the exclusive rights it has on property data giving it several new streams of potential revenue. The business is owned by a number of local and global institutions who interact closely with the business.
Central to reviewing and monitoring this exciting transformation is the need for a Valuation and Modelling Manager. The Valuation and Modelling Manager will take full ownership and responsibility for maintaining and updating the corporate financial model which underpins the bi-annual valuations and is used to assess future investments in the business.
Working directly with the CEO and CFO, the responsibilities are as follows:
• Transition the model from the external institutional owners and develop understanding of current functionality, recommend & execute model upgrades.
• Maintain & update the corporate financial model (e.g. quarterly actuals and any changes to forecasts) and participate in monthly financial results / valuation discussions with shareholders
• Provide model cash flows to shareholders for bi-annual valuation process
• Assist in analysing deviations between actual results and the financial model
• Prepare scenario based analysis for senior leaders
• Provide commercial decision support on high value projects
• Participate in the Annual Budgeting program for the group including preparation of forecasts
• Work with the Treasury Manager to coordinate cashflow and funding activities for the group
The ideal candidate will have the following background:
• Strong Excel skills and extensive experience developing and maintaining complex financial models
• Likely 5-15 years performing a similar function within a Corporate or Group finance function or alternatively comes from a financial modelling division or company, Investment Bank or Infrastructure Asset Management firm.
• Professional accounting qualification (preferred)
• Ability to work autonomously within a stand alone role.
