This newly created position will report directly to the Financial Director. The role will proactively support the Finance Team to ensure that all financial and accounting activities are completed according to timescales and processes.



Client Details



One of the UK's leading independent wine wholesale distributors based in Central London. From our UK depots they offer a national service with a local touch, reaching all sectors of the On and Off Trade around the country.

My client is a family run organisation turning over circa £80m and growing. They partner and distribute to some of the most well known businesses across the country and have won contracts with market leading chains in the UK.



Description

  • Developing financial procedures and processes and ensuring that they are all adhered to in order to maintain accuracy and efficiency.




  • Reviewing systems, processes and procedures on a regular basis to ensure that they are appropriate and relevant. The business has recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics




  • Leading, mentoring and developing the finance team




  • Assisting the Financial Director with the management accounts




  • Suggesting and implementing improvements to processes and procedures




  • Working in a hands on manner, working well under pressure and meeting the expected deadlines




  • Providing relevant colleagues with timely and accurate financial information






Profile

  • Excellent communication skills




  • Previous experience of adding value at a strategic level




  • Ability to use Excel to an advanced level




  • Strong track record of improving processing and procedures




  • Proven experience of successfully managing and influencing a finance team




  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) or equivalent


  • Ideally experience working within the wholesale sector would be advantageous






Job Offer

The client is willing to pay in the region of £60,000 - £65,000 depending on experience.
