Description

Key Responsibilities:

Co-ordinate the production of forecast sales, direct materials, overheads & labour costs and headcounts for inclusion in the forecast / budget consolidation model and variance summary report.

Ensure all inputs to the forecast models are robust & have been adequately challenged and reviewed.

Maintain the 'Adjustments' page in the consolidation model for any sales, direct materials (DM) or cost related adjustments.

Ensure a commentary is completed that explains any significant or noteworthy variances in the forecast / budget sales & DM.

Complete forecast & actual profitability by programme reports (PLP) required for Hyperion submissions.

To take responsibility for loading forecast/budget data into SAP.

Publish monthly headcount targets for Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting to HR, and overtime forecasts for KPI reporting.

Administer the forecast & budget timetables to ensure all participants are aware of the timetable & the required deliverables (including meeting schedules) and for the final distribution of forecast reports.

Production of monthly sales and direct materials ("Blue Box") reports used to generate the monthly causal. To complete monthend 'True Up' calculations and journal posting (& adhoc 'True Up' assignments as requested).

Compliance with all risk assessments and company Environment, Health & Safety Procedures relevant to all work activities. Reporting of all incidents, accidents and near misses as per the company's procedure & implementation of corrective actions. Maintain good standards of housekeeping in designated work area(s).

Export Control - Champion 'Export Control' compliance activities, ensuring adherence to the site 'Technology Control Plan (TCP)', guaranteeing compliance with Export Control Regulations, controls, training and systems.

Profile

Essential:

Graduate with professional accounting qualification (e.g. ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA) or graduate with equivalent and related professional qualifications.

Proactive self-starter - ability to work with limited supervision and to deadlines, to be able to determine potential solutions when presented with problems / challenging scenarios.

Strong attention to detail - role will prepare reports presented to senior executives.

Articulate communicator with ability to establish credibility across other functions, ability to challenge in a professional manner and to pitch a message at the right level for the audience.

Ability to manage multiple deliverables and prioritise work requests.

Results orientated - to operate with a sense of urgency

Proficient user of Microsoft Office - especially Excel & Powerpoint.

Previous experience in a fast paced PLC environment.

Experience of complex business operating systems e.g. SAP.

Desirable:

Experience of working within the manufacturing sector.
