Cost Accountant | Thetford | Negotiable Basic Salary

A newly created opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cost Accountant to join an expanding and market leading Manufacturing company located in Thetford.

As a Cost Accountant you will be playing a hands on role working within the Finance Team, in providing timely and accurate information to the site and business.

Responsibilities will include;

• Preparing product costings to Commercial and New Product Development teams
• Reviewing and maintaining standing component data on system and offline
• Reviewing actual performance against standards and targets
• Supporting the Master data Coordinator on the SAP system
• Providing support to the Financial Controller relating to operational variances
• Covering for daily KPI reporting of waste, downgrade and giveaway performance against standards
• Attending daily operational review meetings
• Managing the monthly costing runs required for standard costing, budgetary, forecasting, procurement processes and pursuing errors as identified in the monthly costing runs.
• Reviewing product profitability
• Directly liaising with Departmental Managers

Those who are qualified to AAT, ACCA or CIMA level would be highly desirable, although candidates with proven working experience within a similar accounting role will be suitable. Previous experience of product costing is essential.

A negotiable and attractive basic salary is on offer for the successful candidate.
