Our client are one of the UK’s largest Manufacturing and Distribution companies who have been established for over 20 years. A market leader who supply their products to some of the largest and most recognisable businesses.

Due to this forward thinking mentality they have now created an exciting new role within their finance function reporting into the Financial Controller for an Experience and Professional Cost Accountant who ideally has worked within a Manufacturing, Engineering, Retail or FMCG business.
A full Time role paying up to £30,000 your role definition
An integral member of the finance team in providing timely and accurate information to the site and business
Prepare product costings for Commercial and New Product Development teams
Review and Maintain standing component data on system and offline
To review actual performance against standards and targets
Support the Master data Coordinator on the SAP system
Provide support to the Financial Controller relating to operational variances
Cover for daily KPI reporting of waste, downgrade and giveaway performance against standards
Attend daily operational review meeting
Your Accountabilities will be
Prepare product costings for Commercial and New Product Development teams
Undertaking reviews of product profitability
Overview of setting up, amending and deleting material masters, BOM’s & master data
Managing the monthly costing runs required for standard costing, budgetary, forecasting, procurement processes and pursuing errors as identified in the monthly costing runs
Provide support to the Site Finance team as required
Other ad hoc duties as required
Knowledge Skills and Experience
AAT, ACCA or CIMA Qualified would be desirable but a proven background within a similar role would be a huge advantage
Previous use of SAP or similar accounting packages but Advanced Excel skills are essential
Previous experience of product costing in particular new product costings within a Manufacturing, Retail Engineering or FMCG business
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail due to the nature of the role and who you will be reporting too
Previous experience of general ledger accounting
The ability to solve problems and to be able to demonstrate this is essential
Excellent inter-personal skills able to communicate at all levels
