Accounts Receivable (temporary to permanent) vacancy, based in the city of London, for a publishing company.

Experience within a sales ledger role is vital, with the view to start the role as soon as possible.

Client Details

The company is based in the City of London, and have been a fast growing publishing brand for 10 years.

Accountancy experience within publishing is desired, but not vital.

Description

The key responsibilities for this Accounts Receivable (temporary to permanent) vacancy:


  • Raising sales invoices for Co-editions and Sub-rights. Average 150 invoices per month.
  • Full responsibility of Sales Ledger - collection of cash, chasing outstanding debts.
  • Allocating money received to invoices and chasing of remittance advices from customers. Accounting for customer deductions such as withholding taxes/commissions
  • Liaison with customers and colleagues from the rights department to resolve queries efficiently
  • Allocating monies received for sub-rights between amounts due to the author and amounts due to S&S, using the author contracts to establish the percentages due to each party
  • Preparing the weekly bank reconciliation for 3 accounts
  • Monthly reporting to S&S Inc for inter company advance payments and sub right receipts.

    • Have experience with working in a sales ledger role.
    • Be efficient and possess good communication skills.
    • Have keen attention to detail.
    • Possess fast and accurate keyboard skills, particularly numeric.
    • Be highly organised with the ability to prioritise work.
