Finance Analyst - Global Medical Science

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a commercial team assisting with end of month variance analysis, forecasting and budgeting processes, a recent system implementation and ad hoc data analytics.

Description

This role will be a 3 month contract with views of extension based on performance. The main responsibility will be supporting the Head of FP&A and FP&A Manager during the forecasting and month end process. This includes:

End of month variance analysis of the operating divisions
Help in the preparation of forecast and budget packs for Senior Executive Team and Board
Ownership of the 5YP model
Work closely with operating divisions during forecasting and budgeting to understand key drivers and business metrics
Data Analytics
Cost saving initiaties
Other ad-hoc reporting and projects.

Key Relationships:

Reporting to the FP&A Manager
Working closely with finance leads in the operating divisions as well as senior executives

Profile

Professional finance qualification (qualified): ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
Strong IT and excel skills
Communication - written and verbal is essential
Highly organised - ability to break down tasks and work through lists in an organised prioritised fashion
Ability to listen and influence / persuade through weight of reasoning and character
Ability to be highly flexible, adapting to changing priorities with ease
Newly qualified or part qualified finance professional
Experience of working in analytical roles
Professional background in big 4 or mid-tier firm, or blue chip company
