Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant to join the Operations team across our Bradford and Halifax sites. We offer a £35k salary and an opportunity to make a real difference in a successful growth business.

As our Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant you will provide support for the Commercial Finance Manager at the Bradford and Halifax Sites to help deliver year on year growth to the Company. You will also support the profitable development of the department and advise on all matters relating to the P&L.

Responsibilities of our Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant:

- Assist in the preparation of the daily and weekly P&L Flash results which is distributed to the senior team so that analysis and planning can take place to maximise P&L.

- Managing the expenditure requisition process for the Holmfield and Bradford sites.

- Assistance in the preparation of the monthly Finance pack. Ensure that the accounts are accurate and that the monthly accounts are a true reflection of the sites trading performance.

- Providing detailed analysis of the overheads for the Holmfield and Bradford sites and highlighting any anomalies in relation to the analysis.

- Assisting in the preparation of the site budget and forecasting process, including investigation and reporting of variances relating to the actual results.

- Other ad hoc tasks as required by the Commercial Finance Manager.

Our Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant must have the following skills and experience & attributes:

Essential

- Strong Book-keeping knowledge

- Maths & English to GCSE Level

- Strong organisational skills

- Ability to present information in a simple, meaningful format

- Has excellent communication skills

- Ability to work well under pressure

- Has the confidence to advise on all site Financial matters

- Previous accounting experience

- Knowledge of production of accounts to trial balance

- Strong knowledge of financial best practices

- Strong excel skills (vlook up, pivot tables, Ifs etc)

- ERP system knowledge

Desirable

- Knowledge of; 5 S workplace organisation, Continuous Improvement Methodology, system implementation.

- Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Teams.

- Studying for a Professional Accounting Qualification
