Description

The Assistant Finance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Supervising and managing teams on day to day works, sales ledger, purchase ledger, cashbook, nominal ledger, intercompany, fixed assets etc
  • Check and authorise documents on the system in order to ensure that invoices are ready for payments accurately
  • Review and prepare of Profit & Loss, balance Sheet and Cashflow for all UK companies on a monthly basis by agreed timetable.
  • Assist the team to complete and deliver month end and year end reports/processes in an accurate and of high quality
  • Oversight of all periodic reconciliations ensuring all are completed within an agreed timetable. All reconciling items are required to take appropriate actions in a timely manner.
  • Assist Group Finance manager with the periodic end close of all companies
  • Develop and prepare cashflow forecasts at UK and group levels
  • Ensure all regulatory reports are submitted promptly : VAT Return, Intrastat, national Statistic, annual audits etc
  • Ensure that transactions are complied with all aspects of input and output vat regulations
  • Support Group Finance Manager on the preparation of budgets, forecasts, analysis reports and ad-hoc tasks
  • Assist Group Finance Manager for the Implementation and upgrade accounting system from Sage200 to ERP system : MS Dynamic
  • Profile

    The successful Assistant Finance Manager will need to have previous experience with:

  • Managing and supervising team
  • Be Part Qualified Accountant or QBE
  • Self-motivation, initiative
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good numeracy and technical skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication/ presentation skills
  • Ability to deliver professionally tactics to deal internally and externally to achieve tasks
  • Result focused, attention to detail
  • Highly motivated , self-starter
  • Highly organised
  • Able to prioritise to ensure deliverable targets are achieved
  • Ability to build credibility and relationship with relevant departments
  • Good IT skills
  • The successful candidate will require to demonstrate an ability to work in a fast paced environment, strong technical accounting experience and promoting a teamwork.

    Job Offer

    The Assistant Finance Manager can expect to earn between £35,000 and £38,000 plus a benefits package. The right candidate will also have the opportunity to learn and develop their career.
