Management Accountant

Based in the heart of Milton Keynes, they are a mid level start up within the IT market. Continued growth across the wider business has created an opportunity for a progressive management accountant to join their finance function.

This marketing leading IT business are based out of state of the art offices, with a highly commercial finance function looking to add value to the business and be heavily involved in strategy formation moving forward. This is an established start-up and not a household name as of yet, but PE backed they have received strong investment to reach their high growth targets for the coming years.

Description

Management Accountant Responsibilities:

• Preparation and evaluation of monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and KPI's) both internally and externally with the main business clients
• Maintain P&L revenue schedules; controlling deferred and accrued revenue
• Ensuring that relevant VAT and Tax returns are completed and submitted
• Controlling the month-end close process.
• Assisting senior members of the finance function with budgeting and forecasting
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, creating and posting journals, prepayments & accruals.
• Working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions and optimising Reporting Processes
• Preparation of Stock and reconciliations.

Profile

Management Accountant Requirements:

• ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified
• Strong Tax knowledge and working VAT experience essential
• Experience with posting journals, prepayments and accruals.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Month-end reporting and assisting with audit
• Experience with SAP, plus advanced MS Excel & strong IT skills.
• Experience in working in a multi-currency environment
