On behalf of a client in the centre of Reading I am recruiting for a permanent Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their long standing finance team.

My client has exciting plans to grow for the next 2-3 years which will increase the career progression opportunities for all within finance team.

Description

The successful applicant for this permanent role will be responsible for the following:

  • Process and prepare for payment employee expenses
  • Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signatures
  • Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments
  • Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval
  • Check supplier files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbers
  • Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files
  • Post cash transactions and reconcile bank statements daily

Profile

To be considered for this permanent role you must posses the following:

  • Have experience in Accounts Payable (at least 6 months)
  • Ideally be studying towards AAT
  • Have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) .
  • Good IT skills including MS Excel.
