On behalf of a client in the centre of Reading I am recruiting for a permanent Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their long standing finance team.

My client has exciting plans to grow for the next 2-3 years which will increase the career progression opportunities for all within finance team.
Description
The successful applicant for this permanent role will be responsible for the following:
- Process and prepare for payment employee expenses
- Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signatures
- Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments
- Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval
- Check supplier files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbers
- Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files
- Post cash transactions and reconcile bank statements daily
Profile
To be considered for this permanent role you must posses the following:
- Have experience in Accounts Payable (at least 6 months)
- Ideally be studying towards AAT
- Have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) .
- Good IT skills including MS Excel.
