Finance Controller

We are looking for an experienced Finance Controller who has come from a large corporate Financial Services background who now interested in moving into the exciting new world of Finance and Banking Technology.

Reporting to the CFO this is a hands-on Financial Control & Reporting role that will suit someone who enjoys the technical side of Accounting, but will also enjoy the pace and variety of an exciting 'start-up’.

The Job:

• Manage a team of 4
• Financial accounting - responsibility for delivery of monthly, quarterly, half yearly and year-end reporting
• Delivery of statutory accounts
• Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, reconciled and reported
• Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and accounting treatments
• Ensuring the integrity of the financial statements
• P&L analytical review, Balance Sheet accounts reconciliations, impairment reviews and fixed asset audits
• Key point of contact for external advisors, internal and external auditors and internal stakeholders
• Ensuring adherence to company’s budget and authority limits
• Drive change
• Review current processes and oversee implementation and development of systems and internal controls to required standards

The Experience Needed:

• Qualified Accountant with at least 6 years PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Degree or equivalent
• Technical knowledge gained from an audit background
• Must have experience Financial Services and / or Banking
• Track record of delivering financial reporting under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Strong analytical skills
