We are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a rapidly expanding leisure sector business in Leeds City Centre. The purpose of this role will be to lead the Financial Accounts & Accounts Payable teams, be responsible for the completion of accurate month end management accounts, year end statutory reporting and tax compliance.
Client Details
Our client is a rapidly growing leisure business who have recently secured private equity backing. They are growing quickly and are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to support the growth and ensure robust financial controls.
Description
The role will lead of team of 7 with 2 direct reports. A summary of the responsibilities are listed below:
- Lead the financial accounts and purchase ledger teams
- Monthly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations and understanding of variances
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Income reports
- Annual stat accounts
- Liaising with external audit team
- CT tax pack
- Cashflow forecasting, sense-checking and reporting on differences between budgeted and actual cashflow
- Monthly and quarterly VAT
- Accounting systems - Sage and Cognos
- Ad hoc projects
