Financial Controller

My client a fast-growing financial services business based in the west-end are seeking an ambitious and progressive Financial Controller to take a leadership role in the Finance team. You will be a qualified accountant, with a minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience looking for your next step.

Key duties

• To assist the Managing Director and Finance Director with all accounting related matters, including business structuring and forecasting for the various public listed companies
• Prepare budgets/forecasts and analysis of costs on an ongoing basis, particularly in relation to new business initiatives and projects
• To take leadership in managing a complex cash management function
• Provide monthly management accounts for all group entities including KPIs in a timely manner to allow for appropriate business decisions to be made
• To develop a strong understanding of the business model and the challenges it will face and to provide advice on how to manage the challenges
• Assist with implementation and improvement of a new CRM system and the potential change to the accounting packages
• To liaise with auditors and other key stakeholders in the business, including the board
• Management of one junior accountant
