SBC is sold throughout the UK and internationally, and on global shopping channels in the UK, Italy, Germany, France, Russia and Australia. Several other countries will launch within the next 12 months.

HBD Europe have distributed Pevonia, a natural skincare range, for over 2 decades, and is the leader in delivering natural skincare solutions to the finest spas and professional aestheticians worldwide.

Early in 2017 HBD Manufacturing was incorporated and we are now producing all products in-house which previously were outsourced.

Due to the continued growth and success of HBD, we require an Assistant Group Accountant to support our existing team. Reporting to the Group Accountant, this role will support the Finance team on the whole accounts function for all entities within the business.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support the Group Accountant with timely and accurate preparation of monthly group management accounts

  • Business partnering with all departments

  • Assisting with the preparation of year end P&L and balance sheet

  • Assisting with the production of subsidiary statutory accounts

  • Monitoring and maintaining departmental budgets against actual spend

  • General bookkeeping duties

  • Assisting with the reporting & production of VAT returns

  • Support HR department with various cross-over aspects (Maternity, holiday calculations, etc)

  • Working with Sales & Purchase ledger clerks to develop processes and procedures as well as providing cover during leave

  • Provide full cover for Group Accountant during periods of absence

The ideal candidate will be in the early stages of studying their ACCA (or equivalent) and HBD will provide financial support through to completion.
