Description
The Management Accountant will be responsible for the following:
- Preparation of the profit and loss and balance sheet for selected accounts
- Month end reviews including variance analysis and communicating the key points to the business
- Production of timely balance sheet reconciliations
- You will be working with Senior Managers across the business to improve the company's financial performance. This may involve site visits.
- You will be required to be comfortable with both technical and commercial finance. There will be opportunities for development in your responsibilities through various projects.
- Production of statutory accounts and assisting with the year end packs
- Overseeing the sales invoicing and debt collection
- Supporting the Finance Manager when required.
Profile
The successful Management Accountant will have worked in another large forward thinking organisation with experience in a similar role.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be studying towards a professional finance qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA ideally at the final stages or actively part qualified
- Previous experience in a similar commercial Management Accounting position.
- Strong Excel skills (including macros)
- Confident communication skills
- Ability to explain financial information to both financial and non-financial audience
- Excellent team player
- Ability to manage pressure and meet strict deadlines
