Senior Accountant - Maternity Cover

Client Details

My client is an French luxury brand known for its jewellery, watches, fragrances, accessories and leather with headquarters in London. It sells through outlets in Europe, the US, Asia and online.

Description

• Working capital management

• Ensure underlying accounting records are accurate, complete and in accordance with local and corporate accounting principles.

• Ensure the company events are correctly reflected in the financial statements.

• Guarantee the assistance to the stores in monitoring (where applicable): the security of the goods, the timeliness and correctness od sales reporting, product receiving, the control of daily closure, the periodic stock counting and analysis.

• Monitor & check the VAT declarations, and ensure compliant with local rules

• Perform on an annual basis in cooperation with the internal controls department, the risk assessment of the company in order to monitor the internal controls system in respect of the internal procedures.

• Support in ensuring the timely and accurate submission of monthly management accounts

• Responsibility for the annual audit and statutory accounts preparation.

• Supports the development and maintenance of the finance system.

Profile

• ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualified
  
• Strong technical knowledge
• Reconciliation experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Numerate, highly-proficient with Microsoft Excel, educated to at least A-level standard
• Accurate, meticulous and detail-orientated
•  Tech-smart and familiar with using SAP/Syrus beneficial but not mandatory.
• Experience in retail industry beneficial
