We are currently seeking a talented and driven Analyst or Associate to join our Energy & Utilities Team in Sydney. Working directly with a team of senior bankers, you will be responsible for performing both qualitative and quantitative analysis on the sector.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Designing and implementing comprehensive M&A strategies for potential clients.
Supporting a deal or project team with analysis and research.
Performing financial valuations, utilising discounted cash flow and multiple based analyses.
Building and using financial models.
Preparing presentation materials and participating in deal pitches.
Liaising with other internal and external parties on transactions.
Supporting due diligence & negotiations during transactions.
Marketing the full range of services to prospective and established clients.
Coordinating with product and industry groups to identify and develop business opportunities.
To be successful, you will need:
Exceptional tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline.
At least two years of relevant corporate finance experience in financial services.
Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem solving ability.
Strong accounting, finance and business writing skills.
An ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines and prioritise tasks.
An ability to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team.
The ability to effectively communicate to a wide range of individuals and groups.
Excellent attention to detail.
