Accounts Assistant
Providing day to day administrative support to the Finance Department,
with a particular focus on Accounts Payable.
* Verify, log, match, and process supplier invoices using the SAGE
finance system and investigate discrepancies between POs and invoices
* Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve
queries
* Set up and maintain supplier details, following appropriate internal
processes and procedures. Perform annual credit checks as deemed
necessary.
* Process employee cash and credit card expenses, checking claims
against internal policies. Investigate errors and discrepancies
* Administration of company credit card applications
* Check all Direct Debits and standing orders, journal and reconcile on
a monthly basis
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
* Process weekly subcontractor invoices, matching these with authorised
timesheets including accurate job numbers
* Process fuel card and rental car invoices and deal with any queries
in liaison with the Procurement team
* Prepare quarterly P46 and annual P11d returns
* Weekly and Monthly Reconciliations
* Monthly credit card reconciliation
* Monthly congestion charge reconciliation
Other General Duties
* Maintain the integrity of the SAGE finance system
* Assist in year-end audit preparation
* Cover other members of the Finance team in periods of absence
* Ad hoc assistance and general administration as required
* Undertake any other duties that LMG deem to be appropriate and in
line with this role
Knowledge and Skills
* 2 years’ experience in a relevant position
* IT Literate, proficient MS Word, PowerPoint; specifically,
intermediate Excel
* Team player with excellent inter-personal and communication skills,
both written and verbal
* Excellent time management and organisational skills with high
attention to detail
* Self-motivated and proactive, able to work on own initiative
* A minimum of 5 GCSE’s grade C and above including, English and Maths
* High levels of integrity and confidentiality
* Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with all
colleagues and external clients
* Flexible approach to working hours; ability to work overtime as and
when the business needs dictates
* Working knowledge or CIS taxation
Preferred
* AAT studier or AAT qualified
* Working knowledge of Sage accounts
