Insurance Business Analyst
Location: Crawley
Salary: £24k-£27k + quarterly bonus
Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5.30pm
I have great pleasure in supporting out client in the recruitment of an Insurance Business Analyst to join their Pricing team based in their offices in Crawley.
This role will be responsible for producing excellent management information to assess risk management and provide pricing recommendations to grow existing business through increased sales.
Responsibilities:
• Interpreting MI and using data to assist the business to its forecast budget targets across multiple distribution channels
• Manage risk in tandem with commercial decisions ensuring sustainable pricing models with insurers and third party suppliers
• Using SAS, SQL, Visual Basic (or similar packages) to extract relevant statistical information
• Take part and lead specific projects to assist in the renewal programme and re-targeting strategies
• Confidently present trading opportunities and respond to specific trading and pricing questions in face to face meetings
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations on pricing
The right candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
• Strong data manipulation skills
• Great understanding of Excel and SQL, SAS other IT packages
• Highly numerical with a computer degree or mathematical capability
• Ability to grasp the significance and meaning of a range of technical and complex issues
• Strong aptitude for learning and problem solving
• Familiar with a range of different data analysis techniques
• Ability to work under pressure and work to strict deadlines
• Understanding of different approached to managing yield, risk and conversion
