Service Desk Analyst - Level 1 Support
Great Level 1 support opportunity for an enthusiastic and developing Service Desk specialistBroader role that encompasses running core banking operational jobs and support A large IT team based in the Wollongong region
IMB Bank is a contemporary, service oriented financial institution offering a wide range of highly competitive banking and financial services products through our retail, online, call centre, mobile and commercial/business channels.
Our IT team is now looking for an enthusiastic Service Desk Analyst, Level 1 Support who has the initiative and capability to assist in the maintenance and support of IMB's desktop environment and to carry out core banking operational tasks. With a passion for genuinely helping others and providing responsive and high quality service to all customers the key requirements of the role include:
* Coordinating and executing test cases on system changes to deliver quality results to customers
* Carrying out core banking operational tasks such as IMB's batch processing requirements (rotating roster basis)
* Planning, building and providing desktop and Help Desk support in line with organisational strategy
* Applying IMB's Project Management and Change Management methodology and working to Scope Change Control processes and procedures
* Ensuring the availability of the infrastructure in line with defined business requirements
* Contributing to the planning and rollout of new systems and process efficiencies
* Manually handling PCs, Monitors and other IT related equipment for installation and troubleshooting
* Visiting IMB sites to help solve issues or implement solutions. As an integral team member of our IT Service Delivery team that assists in the delivery of core business objectives, to be successful in the role you will ideally have:
* Experience and/or knowledge in running batch processes and performing systems testing in Windows based environments
* Be results focused with a strong attention to detail and applying logical methods for problem solving to proficiently complete tasks
* A working knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Desktops
* An IT related qualification or be in the process of completing one
* Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate IT jargon into simple vocabulary that all customers can understand
* A proven track record in providing quality customer service with a responsive and proactive approach to customer requests
* A collaborative team approach with the desire to contribute to team success
* The availability to work on a rotating 24/7 roster (including afternoons, nights, public holidays and weekends) as needed
