Accountant Full time - Healthcare Industry

We are looking for an Accountant to join our friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accountant with a strong background in the Healthcare Industry to join a dynamic and culture driven environment.

The Job

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Maintenance of general ledger with associated Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Accurate and timely completion of monthly reports
• Prepare monthly Profit and Loss for our business
• Assist with Cash Flow analysis
• Preparing Budgets and Forecasts
• Monitoring financial performance/expenditure against Forecasts & Budgets.
• Maintain fixed assets record and update depreciation schedule
• Timely preparation and lodgement of BAS, FBT and Payroll Tax returns
• Analysing cost of projects / products
• Monitoring & Analysing of operating cost and income and expenditure of the organisation.
• Medicare reconciliations and Bank reconciliations
• Maintain & manage Accounts receivable and Accounts payable functions
• Contribute to maintaining financial operational systems and maintenance of internal control systems.

What you'll need to succeed

• Preferably 2+ years healthcare industry accounting experience
• Accounting degree qualified
• Business aptitude and awareness
• Able to manage various site staff members
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise easily with the team as well as suppliers
• Good time management and organisational skills, and an attention to detail.
• MYOB experience and Medicare related software experience such as Misoft and Prac2000.
• Experience in Medical / Healthcare industry highly regarded
