A growing reputable chartered accountancy practice, based near Midsomer Norton has a requirement for a Bookkeeper - Assistant Accountant to join their successful team in a client support role bookkeeping, preparing vat returns, providing payroll services and other responsibilities. You will carve a key role here adding value to clients, building relationships in a highly supportive team.

Description

Joining the firm as Bookkeeper - Assistant Accountant you will carve a key role acting for varied sole trader, partnership and limited company SME's and OMB's of varying size and industry sector where you will deliver, VAT, bookkeeping, payroll and other services, such as company secretarial for instance, for clients utilising Xero, Sage and other software. You will have the potential to carve a key role here within a close knit, highly supportive team and will indeed be encouraged to develop relationships with clients and develop within this firm.

Profile

You may be AAT qualified, or have developed your career so far through experience date, being equally of interest. You will have anything from 2 - 3 years, or significantly more experience within accountancy, in your career so far, as a Bookkeeper - Assistant Accountant or accounting technician. Applicants with a background working within the accountancy practice sector, for a firm of any size, preparing VAT returns, bookkeeping and other services eg payroll, for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, will be of high interest. Alongside this and equally of interest, given the nature of this role, you may also come with a career background in commerce and industry, interested in the prospect of transferring your skills into the profession, perhaps attracted by the prospect and challenge, of dealing with wide ranging clients and adding value, supporting them, in a client facing capacity. To be suitable, if coming from an industry background, you will have wide ranging experience across finance, with demonstrable experience across all areas of purchase ledger, sales ledger, VAT, CIS, payroll etc, so bringing this wide ranging experience. Alongside this, you will ideally be able to demonstrate experience of dealing with outside suppliers, customers and clients and bring the competencies and abilities to deal with clients and indeed enjoy this element, along side the technical hands on delivery of accounting services.

Job Offer

£18,000 - £25,000 plus benefits, negotiable, dependent on experience and background.
