Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Due to an internal promotion, this leading mid-tier Investment Bank are seeking a qualified chartered accountant to join as a senior within their financial reporting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all external reporting and technical accounting. You will partner with a diverse range of stakeholders both internally and externally including being a key contact for the auditors. This is a core financial reporting role, you will spend at least 50% of your time on BAU reporting including taking the lead on complex group consolidations and FINREP reporting. In addition to this you will get involved in numerous ongoing and new projects. As a senior member of the team, you will act as the number 2 to the head of the team and would be responsible for guiding and mentoring more junior team members, a large part of this role will involve reviewing and challenging numbers.

The successful candidate will be an ACA qualified accountant with an audit background, you will have at least 2years experience working in a core financial accounting/ reporting role and of course an excellent academic record including a minimum 2:1 degree. In addition to this, you will be a personable individual who likes to take on challenges, likes to take ownership and is not afraid to take on additional work/ projects to further develop the scope and breadth of your role.
