About Financial Advisory

Financial Advisory (FA) practice of Deloitte China provides strategic and financial advisory services to clients throughout all phases of the economic cycle. FA comprises several distinct but related global service lines whose shared principal objective is the creation and enhancement of shareholder and stakeholder value.

M&A Transaction Services assist financial and corporate investors in assessing investment opportunities and providing professional advisory services to support them in making effective and timely business and investment decisions concerning their outbound, inbound or domestic M&A transactions.

Work You'll do:

  • Help team determine attractiveness/readiness of a proposed deal by identifying pre-deal transaction benefits/risks

  • Drive sound financial decision making throughout the transaction through diligence efforts

  • Help client identify and address integration or separation issues to optimize the transition once the deal is secured

  • Select appropriate methods for collecting and analyzing large and complex data sets to extract insights and support solutions

  • Produce a high quality work product and collaborate with others across phases of the M&A transaction lifecycle to deliver a superior client experience

  • Analyze financial and accounting information when evaluating transactions

  • Manage own work in an ethical manner with a continuous attention to quality and risk rules, and confidentiality

  • Build an understanding of how stages of the M&A lifecycle operate to enhance delivery in own phase of expertise

You are also expected to:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above, major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or MBA

  • CICPA, HKICPA or equivalent professional qualifications
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in transaction services and/or audit

  • Experience in dealing with and managing international and domestic clients, including Mainland Chinese clients

  • Familiar with potential risk management issues
  • Excellent financial and business analytical skills
  • Possess good business sense and awareness of commercial and economic issues
  • Exposure to IPO and Special Audit would be an advantage
  • Knowledge in financial modelling skills is an advantage
  • Self-motivated, good team player with ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
  • Willing to take on challenges and responsibilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese)
  • Excellent written skills in English and Chinese
  • Willing to travel (occasionally with short notice)
