Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working in partnership with an established company in Harrogate who are now looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Clerk on a 12 month contract. There is a possibility that the position could become permanent dependant on the company's needs.

The successful applicant will provide some much needed support within the busy HR department. You will have a strong payroll background with experience of working with Sage Payroll.

For the role of Payroll Clerk, your duties will include:

- Process both weekly and monthly payroll calculating up to net pay
- Reconcile and pay over all payroll deductions
- Setting up new records/new starters/leavers
- Inputting bonuses, shift premiums, overtime , SSP, SMP, SPP
- BACs reports prepared
- Staff supervision
- Reconciliation
- Preparing payment to Pensions and HMRC
- Nominal Costing
- Dealing with ad-hoc data requests
- Tax Year End process preparation

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are looking to speak to candidates with the following skills and experiences:

- Previous solid payroll experience
- Previous experience of working with sage payroll is desirable
- Experience of working within a fast paced environment
- The ability to meet deadlines and targets
- Strong excel skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Available for work immediately or at short notice
