Qualified Financial Accountant

We are representing an incredibly interesting International Biotechnology organisation, with a series of incredibly innovative products coming to market.

We are seeking a Chartered Financial Accountant, for a key position within the organisation, where you will support the Finance Director and the Senior Management Team in decision making and to develop, implement and maintain an effective international financial control function.

Location: Central London

Salary: 60,000-70,000 + Bonus

Responsibilities:
Ensuring good governance, enhancing the Groups policies and procedures, developing the Accounting Manual and implementing proper financial controls
Responsible for the external financial reporting and tax compliance, delivering information promptly and accurately
As a key Business Partner, responsible for the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes
Management Information and Business Partnering
Financial reporting and compliance
Financial planning and analysis including the Groups annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting cycle
Loan covenants, working capital and cashflow management
Financial projects including investment appraisal - e.g. New systems implementation
Tax compliance (corporate, VAT and payroll) and ensuring an efficient tax position, budgeting, especially related to R&D tax credits and tax planning

Qualifications/Experience Required:
Qualified ACA with post-qualified industry experience, or a Senior Manager/Manager from an audit/accountancy firm looking for their first Industry role
Technically strong and must have knowledge of IFRS
Previous experience within a small, entrepreneurial organisation is essential, FMCG or biotech/pharmaceutical/healthcare enterprise would be advantageous
Previous experience ensuring financial controls are operating effectively
Experience dealing with auditors and HRMC
Ability to work in and manage a team
