Assistant Management Accountant

SF Group are supporting a manufacturing SME in North Nottingham to recruit a Assistant Management Accountant. You will work in a great office, easily commutable via the M1 from Nottingham, and also easy to reach from Derby, Chesterfield and Mansfield. You will report into the Finance Director and be confident taking the accounts to Trial Balance on SAGE.

As the successful Management Accountant your duties will include:

• Assisting the Management Accountant in maintaining the companies accounts on SAGE
• Posting bank payments, bank receipts, and bank reconciliations
• Maintenance of debtor and creditor reports, credit card postings, chasing payments
• Processing payments and resolving associated queries
• Cost of Sales Calculation & Journal
• Wages Journal and salaries journal
• DML Salary Recharge Journal
• Unrealised Exchange Gain/Loss
• Commission Accrual Journal
• Calculating and reconciling depreciation's, prepayments, and posting associated journals
• Stock Movement Calculation & Journal
• Employer Pension Accruals
• Full Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Intercompany Postings (if applicable)
• Miscellaneous Journal Posting (after investigations)
• Operate SAGE Payroll for the company
• VAT Returns

The successful Management Accountant will:

• Have current experience within SAGE and SAGE Payroll
• Have between 2 and 3 years recent experience in an Assistant Accountant job
• Possess a high degree of professionalism and the ability to work closely with an established Finance Director
• Have Advanced Excel Skills including data manipulation with Pivot Tables, Charts and basic formulas as a minimum
• Be driven, ambitious, organised and methodical with a talent for problem solving
