Senior Accountant

To assist the Finance Business Partner Manager in delivering the Development Finance function, helping ensure financial resources are planned, managed and reported. This role will also assist the Finance Business Partner Manager in providing financial support to projects and activities.

Description

• Accounting

Assist in delivering the monthly accounts reporting process, producing accurate and timely financial information, including forecast cashflows to the Finance Business Partner Manager (Property) and to budget holders.

• Budgets

Assist in the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning process for development services to support strategic and operational objectives, and value for money.

• Property

Assist in managing financial support for development, regeneration and capital improvements including financial resource planning, option appraisals and viability.

• Projects

Assist in providing financial support for colleagues with business objective and innovation projects providing financial information and a 'can do' attitude.

• Linking

Assist in providing a link between the analysis of data and other teams. Provide data assurance to ensure that information decisions are made at the right level.

• Developing the Services

Support the Finance Business Partner Manager in identifying, building and developing an extensive network of external contacts to keep abreast of best practice and benchmarking to deliver efficiencies, improvements and value for money.

• Line Management & Leadership

Profile

Successful candidate will have:

• A recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
• Degree or equivalent
• Experience of development appraisals
