Interim Financial Accountant

Based in High Wycombe and ranging between 4-5 months with a potential for extension and permanent work, the Interim Financial Accountant will sit within the financial accounts team and be responsible for one direct report. The role will cover all aspects of financial accounting from data entry and the establishment of new systems and processes to advising the FD and FC in financial planning.

Description

The Key responsibilities of the Interim Financial Accountant will be:

• Maintenance and reconciliation of the fixed asset register

• Process the depreciation of fixed assets

• Production and submission of VAT returns for each company, with associated adjustments

• Support with preparation of the year end accounts

• Support and cover the Systems and Reporting Accountant

• Be cover for the raising of on-line requisitions and sales invoices

• Monthly control account reconciliations: preparation and review

• Lease accounting

• Ensure policies are implemented to provide an improved and cost effective service

• Deliver and present reports to managers as required.

• Contribute in establishing and implementing procedures, standards, targets and new initiatives

• Preparation of all year-end schedules for review with the Financial Controller for the organisation and all its subsidiaries

• Coordinate all the audit schedules as determined by the FC

Profile

The ideal candidate for the Interim Financial Accountant will be:

• CCAB/CIMA Qualified
• Experienced in working within a finance department
• Able to give examples of previous financial accounting experience
• IT literate
• Good Excel skills
• Immediately available to start

Job Offer

My client is offering between £180-220 day rate
