We represent a market leading private equity manager which invests in mid-market growth companies. The manager possesses an enviable market track record underpinned by successful transactions through management buy-outs, generational change and succession planning, industry consolidation and strategic acquisitions. The manager typically invests in companies with an enterprise value ranging from $30m to $150m with high-quality management teams and the potential to take a leading position in their chosen markets.
Having recently closed the raising for a new fund, the manager is now looking to hire an Investment Analyst to join the investment team. The investment team has a broad range of skills spanning private equity, strategy consulting, investment banking and accounting and operational management. You will be involved in all aspects of the investment process, assisting the team to assess and execute new investments including financial modelling, and both financial and commercial due diligence for transactions. The role will also support investees and their management teams, as well as monitoring and assisting in the management of the existing investment portfolio and general administration of the funds.
Important skills and attributes for the role include having a commercial acumen and line of sight for a transaction; a understanding of the transaction execution process; solid financial modelling ability or the ability to quickly develop this capability; financial valuation and due diligence experience. You will be a team player with an appetite to continue to learn and develop and operate well in small teams.
This is an outstanding opportunity to step into a highly regarded and active private equity investment firm based in Melbourne. You will ideally have 2-4 years' experience gained in private equity, investment banking, or corporate finance/transaction services within the CA world.
