Assistant Accountant

A great role has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing manufacturing company based in Stevenage. Permanent role paying up to £28k with career progression, free parking & great benefits.

It will involve Accounts Receivables, Credit Control, General Administration, Bank Recs, P&L and much more. We are seeking a candidate who can ideally use SAGE Line 50, can use their own initiative and happy to work on their own on occasion.

My client manufacturing and production an innovative product and are a market leader within the UK. They have a medium sized Head office in Stevenage, work 9:00-5:00 and offer great benefits and career progression. You will report into a friendly and hands on Financial Controller who is willing to offer training and is looking for an Assistant Accountant who works well under pressure.

Description

As an Assistant Accountant your duties will include:

• Accounts receivables, working with sales invoices
• Credit Control, chasing clients via telephone and email
• Bank Reconciliations
• Journal posting
• Writing cheques
• Assisting with month end
• Answering calls

Profile

• Experience in a similar role
• Proficient with Excel (intermediate)
• The ability to work alone
• Hard working candidate who works well in a team environment
• Happy chasing clients for payments
