Head of Finance and Resources

I am currently working with a school in Sevenoaks who are seeking a Head of Finance & Resources.

My client are an educational charity working with students who have special education needs.

Description

The role will include but not be limited to the following:

• To lead and manage the finance department including finance, payroll and estates.
• To ensure the regular and effective management, forecasting and reporting of the school finances to the Trustees, principal and SLT.
• To work with the school on annual business planning.
• To act as company secretary and take responsibility for operational compliance.
• To act as the key advisor to the Principal, trustees and staff for sound financial planning.
• To ensure the board of trustees and SLT have access to monthly management accounts.
• To oversee the finalisation and filing of the year-end accounts and annual report.
• To submit accurate statutory returns to all relevant bodies.
• To give advice and report on financial issues including reserves, cash holdings, tax issues including Gift Aid and VAT.
• To oversee Payroll, VAT Returns, insurance, billing and credit control.
• To maintain the Fixed Asset Register.

Profile

Your profile will be similar to the following:

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified.
• Not for profit experience (ideally within education).
• Team management experience.
• Strong IT/Excel skills.

Job Offer

• £50,000 - £55,000.
• 30 days annual leave + bank holidays.
