Trainee Accountant

Page Peronnel have partnered up with one of the UK's largest high volume laundry and linen hire companies. This company is growing rapidly and we are looking for a trainee accountant to help us expand in our Runcorn office.

This is one of the UK's largest high volume laundry and linen hire companies who deliver and collect over 5 million items of linen a week throughout the majority of the year. With 7 major commercial laundries across three leading brands we increasingly offer almost fully nationwide coverage through the three brands.

Description

This Trainee Accountant will include;

Daily bank reconciliations

Posting direct debits/payments on SAP

Completing the daily cash flow spreadsheet for all banks

Manual entering of invoices

Main point of contact for following up and resolving supplier queries, taking purchase ledger phone calls

Reconciling supplier statements to SAP

Forecasting the amount needed to pay suppliers for a 3 month period and passing the same onto the management accountant.

Carrying out weekly payment runs through Bacs and EFD, in all currencies

Supplying remittances to ensure correct allocation of payments plus any payment proofs required.

Monitor and maintain the purchase ledger weekly to clear down any advance payments and chase up any missing invoices relating to direct debit/ advance payments

Updating the monthly Intrastat returns

Posting and payment of invoices in our Polish and Swiss companies

Registration bills

Update the bank account for Nordea in SAP and reconcile the same

Filing Purchase ledger invoices, Bank Recs and Statements
