Our client is a well Known Corporate and Institutional banking organisation with headquarters in Central London and several other global locations; Providing Finance and Risk Solutions as well as Trading and Flow Sales to global financial institutions, investors, counterparties and corporate customers on a day to day basis.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Business Analyst for a 6 month contract based in Edinburgh.

Purpose of this role:

The role holder will be responsible for providing a first class service to internal and external stakeholders. The primary purpose of the role is to perform a first class Business System Support / SME function on GFS owned Finance Systems including participation in development projects, reconciliation analysis across multiple platforms and maintenance of a robust, fit for purpose and compliant operating and support model for all systems and processes.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Provide a first class, fit for purpose, business systems support function to wide range of customers and stakeholders

Manage resolution of any customer raised queries or issues which may require detailed business analysis and / or engagement with Technology colleagues

Manage resolution / escalation of any production incidents raised with Technology including problem definition / articulation, participation in incident recovery meetings and ensuring any fix or recovery action taken is fit for purpose and meets finance needs

Provide SME input to requirements, design, testing and implementation of any changes being made to Finance Systems

Manage small change E2E on Finance Systems from Work Request through to Implementation

Create collaborative working partnerships with key senior stakeholders and suppliers in Business and Technology to ensure all support activities and change projects are fully defined

Support strategic development of Finance Systems platforms including scoping of enhancements, delivering all initiatives with Technology colleagues, working in collaboration with colleagues in other GFS teams

Maintain and continually improve a robust and compliant Support and Operating model for all development and production activity for Finance Systems

Attend workshops and think tanks for development work to ensure optimal solutions are created that satisfy all requirements and maximise business and processing efficiency

Attend Working Groups for development projects ensuring all interests are appropriately understood, articulated and recorded

The Candidate:

In order to be successful in this role you will possess all or some of the below criteria:

Exposure to financial systems

Experience in meeting facilitation and minute taking

Stakeholder management

Experience in a technical role to include programme management, diligent action tracking etc.

Strong excel skills

Accounting background would be advantageous
