- $270.81 per hour - MOV3C - 3 year contract employed on a sessional basis - up to 10.5 hours per week
As a senior member of the Emergency Department team at the Gawler Health Service, you will provide clinical services of the highest possible standards to paediatric patients. Working with limited direction and supervision, you will exercise a high degree of professional judgement and clinical competence within the multidisciplinary setting. You will provide supervision, training and direction to non-accredited overseas trained salaried medical officers, interns and medical students as required, as well as participating in teaching and quality assurance activities and undertaking relevant health promotion and community education activities. Gawler Health Service provides a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services to patients from Gawler and surrounding communities including the Lower North and Barossa Valley. Gawler Health Service has two obstetrics and gynaecology specialists, a senior specialist doctor, and midwives ensuring 24-hour a day high-quality care. In addition to Accident & Emergency services, we provide low-risk chemotherapy treatment and have Radiology and Pathology services on site. We offer the best of a country health working environment within close proximity to metropolitan Adelaide.
You will hold appropriate specialist qualifications and be registrable as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia (FRACGP or FACRRM). With proven experience employed in a medical position in an accredited general practice, a community health centre, a primary care unit within a hospital or an emergency department of the general hospital, you will be skilled in providing high quality medical care to paediatric patients. You will bring a demonstrated commitment to patient and relative participation in patient care, in addition to high level skills in negotiation and communication.
