You will assist with the maintenance of DNA extraction, banking service, DOE, and DNA transfers to support molecular diagnosis carried out within the Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics laboratory. You will also be required to participate in general laboratory duties and basic molecular genetic diagnosis, working with both prenatal and postnatal tissue samples. Undertaking accurate data entry and triaging of incoming samples into log books and databases, you will coordinate the transfer of samples between laboratories (interstate and international), as instigated by clinical geneticists, clinicians and scientific staff within the unit.
