Full time retail manager required in ACT

Our company is a bustling, independent fresh food market and grocery in Australian Capital Territory. We are seeking an energetic full-time retail manager

who:

Takes a ‘hands-on’ approach and can work both independently and as a team leader in a fast-paced retail environment

Typical responsibilities

• Recruiting, training, supervising and appraising staff
• Coordinating set up and maintenance of fresh products including task delegation, merchandising and pricing
• Maintaining and organizing storage facilities and stock take
• Dealing with customer queries and complaints
• Overseeing budget and stock control
• Organizing and advertising promotions on a regular basis
• Maximizing profitability and setting/meeting sales targets, including motivating staff to do so
• Retail sales, customer service and operating point of sales system
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation

As the successful applicant, you will have the following:

• Previous experience working and leading in a retail or sales environment
• Proven experience leading and inspiring a team
• A passion for customer service
• Experience with commercial decisions and outcomes
• Experience in implementing business improvements
• Enthusiasm and self-motivation
• Results focused ongoing training & development to encourage skill development
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
