WesTrac Geraldton is seeking energetic, team-oriented Plant Mechanics for our Geraldton branch with both Workshop and Field Service positions available.

Due to a period of exponential growth, we are currently looking for experienced field service mechanics to join our busy team. Reporting to the Field Service Coordinator, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to carrying out warranty and customer repairs on a range of CAT machinery and associated products in a timely and efficient manner. You will be required to carry out field service work on a regular basis throughout the Midwest Region, and you have access to the latest training and technical knowledge relating to the CAT product in both workshop and field positions.

Essential Criteria:

All WesTrac employees are required to adhere to the WesTrac Vision, Values, Employee Behaviours and Lifesaving Rules. This includes the requirement to follow associated policy and procedures within daily tasks, in addition to the adoption of the Caterpillar Production System (CPS) to strive towards continuous improvement within the workplace.
Australian Recognised Heavy Duty Mechanical Trade Qualification with a minimum of 3 years post trade experience
Caterpillar product knowledge and maintenance experience
Competent in use of DBS and SIS
Previous use of safety and risk assessment tools, such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's
Ability to work successfully within a team, autonomously and unsupervised
Familiarity with service literature
Current C Class Licence
Sound understanding of the requirements of safety policies / procedures.
Commitment to take ownership of tasks and deliver outstanding customer service
